Maritime Hockey North Junior C Hockey Championship

The Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces lost 10-1 Saturday to the Spryfield Silver and Black Attack in a semifinal at the Maritime Hockey North Junior C Championship in Liverpool, N.S.

Alex Brennan from Dylan Rayner gave the Aces a 1-0 lead 58 seconds into the game. The Nova Scotia-based Attack led 2-1 after the first period and added four goals in each of the next two periods.

Chase Dyment made 55 saves in the loss.

The Attack was 5-for-11 on the power play while the Aces were 0-for-3. The teams combined for 226 penalty minutes.

Spryfield plays New Brunswick's Hampton Hurricanes Sunday at 2 p.m. in the championship game.

The Aces went 1-3 in the preliminary round.

Tignish defenceman Kirk Ramsay was named to the all-star team on Saturday.
