Maritime Hockey North Junior C Hockey Championship

The Hampton Hurricanes from New Brunswick scored three unanswered goals in the third period Thursday to defeat the Tignish Perry’s Construction Aces 6-3.

The Aces are 0-2 at the five-team Maritime Hockey North Junior C Championship in Liverpool, N.S., while the Hurricanes are 2-0.

Ryley Doyle, Brett Gaudet and Slade Handrahan scored for the Aces while assists went to Lucas Gaudet, Jacob LeClair, Riley Shea and Alex Brennan.

Chase Dyment made 42 saves in the loss.

The game was tied 1-1 after the first and 3-3 following two periods.

The Aces play the host South Shore Wild tonight at 5 p.m.
