Hunter MacIntyre had two goals and an assist Sunday to lead the Montague Total Assets Fitness Maniacs to a 7-3 victory over the Sherwood A&S Scrap Metal Falcons at Cody Banks Arena.
The Maniacs lead the best-of-seven Island Junior Hockey League semifinal 3-1 and can wrap the series up Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in Montague.
The series winner will take on the Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers in the league championship. The Vipers defeated the Western Arsenault’s Fish Mart Red Wings 6-1 Saturday to sweep their semifinal series.
Sunday, Montague led 2-1 after the first period while the score was tied going to the third period.
A.J. McInnis also scored twice for the winners while Peter MacLeod and Matt Cox each had a goal and an assist.
Damon MacDonald rounded out the scoring for Montague.
Connor Myers, Tyler Rose and Kayleb Lazaric each had two assists while Matt Myers and Matt Higgins each had one.
Brandon Birt scored twice for the Falcons while Josh Scott had a single. Josh Kirkpatrick had two helpers while Craig Dougan and Trevor MacKinnon each had one.
Tyler Whiffen made 43 saves for the win. Daniel Nicholson stopped 41 shots in the loss.
