SUMMERSIDE – The Miramichi Timberwolves have taken a 2-0 series lead over the Summerside Western Capitals in Maritime Junior A Hockey League playoff action.

After winning Game 1 on home ice Saturday night, the Timberwolves defeated the Capitals 1-0 before 805 fans at Eastlink Arena on Monday night.

Billy Gaston’s power-play goal at 8:46 of the first period opened the scoring for the Timberwolves, and that goal stood up the rest of the way.
