Summerside takes 2-1 advantage in midget AAA hockey playoffs
SUMMERSIDE – The Summerside Hemphill GM Capitals have retaken the series lead over the Charlottetown Abbies in the P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League playoffs.
The Capitals doubled the Charlottetown Abbies 4-2 on Sunday night to take a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-five quarter-final series. The Capitals will look to wrap up the series at Simmons Sport Centre in Charlottetown on Tuesday at 6:35 p.m.
Saturday, the Abbies pulled out a 4-3 win on home ice to even the series 1-1.

At Eastlink Arena, Owen Arsenault (2), Joel Arsenault and Kolton Stright scored for the Capitals, who held period leads of 1-0 and 4-2. Jesse MacFarlane and Chasse Gallant each added two assists.
Drew Gallant netted both goals for Charlottetown.
Blake Arsenault earned the goaltending win over Zach Geldert.
Abbies 4 Capitals 3
At Simmons Sport Centre, Seb Burns scored his second goal of the game with one minute remaining in regulation time to break a 3-3 tie for the Abbies, who led 2-0 after the first and second periods. Kyle Doucette and Cory Cudmore also scored for Charlottetown, which received assists from Keita Marikoshi, Jonny Gormley and Alex Hall.
Gallant, Logan VanderVelden and Brandon Arsenault found the back of the net for the Capitals. MacFarlane, Joel Arsenault and Owen Arsenault registered assists.
Geldert and Blake Arsenault were the goaltenders of record.
