Andrew Langan scored three times as the Dalhousie Tigers downed the UPEI Panthers 7-3 Saturday in Atlantic University Sport (AUS) men’s hockey action.
Brad McConnell, Chris Ivanko, Andrew Wiggington and Pierre Vandall also scored in the win at the Halifax Forum.
The Panthers scored all their goals on the power play. Matt Brenton, Alex Wall and Reggie Traccitto had the goals while Wall, Traccitto, Tyler Brown, Brock Beukeboom and Jordan Mayer had assists.
UPEI was 3-for-6 with the man advantage while the Tigers were 1-for-5.
Dalhousie held period leads of 2-1 and 4-1.
The last-place Tigers improved to 3-20-1 while the Panthers fall to 12-9-3.
The Panthers outshot the Tigers 18-4 in the third period.
Bobby Nadeau made 48 saves for the win. Mavric Parks stopped 26 of 30 shots through two periods of play for the Panthers. Wayne Savage made a save on four shots in relief.
The Panthers are in Moncton on Friday before hosting St. Thomas on Saturday. Both games start at 7 p.m.
