Vipers crush Falcons in Island junior hockey action

Jeremy Jollimore and Kyle Doucette each had four points to spark the Kensington Moase Plumbing and Heating Vipers to an 11-2 victory over the Sherwood A&S Scrap Metal Falcons on Wednesday night.

The Island Junior Hockey League game was played at the Cody Banks Arena.

Doucette (3-1), Jollimore (2-2) Josh Bowman (2), Spencer Montgomery (1-2), Tanner MacGuigan (1-1), Ryan Kelly and Adam Wight also scored for Kensington, which upped its record to 19-4-0. Zen Hamil (3), Jordan Mayhew (3), Spencer McAlister (2) and Dylan Garnhum drew assists.

John Young and Craig Dougan replied for the Falcons (8-11-4).

The Vipers led 2-0 after the first period and blew the game open in the middle frame, taking a 9-1 advantage into the second intermission..

Winning goaltender was Grant Grady.
