North River Flames rally for overtime win

CORNWALL – The North River Flames rallied for a dramatic 5-4 overtime victory over the Sherwood Falcons in a Razzy’s P.E.I. Junior C Hockey League game here Saturday at the APM Centre.

Brady Vukicevic tied the game with 46 seconds remaining in the third period, and Jeremy MacAulay scored the winning goal on a power play in overtime as the Flames overcame period deficits of 2-1 and 4-2 .

Cameron MacMurdo (1-1), Andy Stultz (1-1) and Logan LeClair scored for the Flames, who improved to 8-12-2. Cody Keenan (2), Craig Campbell and Everett McQuaid drew assists.

Jake MacLean (2), Zack Gould (1-1) and Brady Sinnott replied for the Falcons (1-18-2). Single helpers went to Jordan Arsenault and Alex Hughes.

Taylor Doyle picked up the goaltending win. Tyler Gould was the Falcons goaltender.
