Darcy Ashley scored the game-winning goal as the Halifax Mooseheads defeated the Charlottetown Islanders 5-2 Wednesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Andrew Shewfelt, Luca Ciampini, Connor Moynihan and Danny Moynihan also scored for Halifax while Nikolaj Ehlers, Matt Murphy, Ciampini, Brent Andrews, Jesse Lussier, Vincent Watt and Mackenzie Weegar had assists.
Anthony Cortese and Daniel Sprong replied with goals for the home side while assists went to Sprong, Kevin Laliberte, Kameron Kielly and Guillaume Rioux-Legault.
Kevin Darveau made 24 saves in the win while Eric Brassard stopped 35 shots in the loss.
The announced attendance was 2,302.
Halifax improved to 26-15-0-1 while Charlottetown falls to 16-21-1-4.
The Islanders are back in action Friday when they host the Shawinigan Cataractes at 7 p.m.
