Hastings scores OT winner for Vitos against Islanders

Curtis Hastings scored his third goal of the game in overtime to give the Saint John Vitos a 5-4 come-from-behind win over the Charlottetown Mark’s Work Wearhouse Islanders on Sunday.

Matthew Gray and Tyler Copeland also scored for the Vitos in the New Brunswick/P.E.I. Major Midget Hockey League game.

Jonathan Arsenault (2-2), Alex Hambly and Tyler Doucette countered for the Islanders, who have lost 12 games in a row.

Daryl MacCallum made 45 saves in the loss while Krystian Matthews made 32 stops for the victory.

The Islanders held period leads of 2-1 and 4-1.
