Acadie-Bathurst Titan shut out Charlottetown Islanders

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan scored three second period goals and Jacob Brennan stopped 35 shots Sunday in a 4-0 victory over the Charlottetown Islanders.

Alexandros Soumakis scored twice while Soctt Oke and Christophe Boivin rounded out the scoring. Matthew Boudreau had three assists while Boivin, Alexandre Gosselin, Raphael Lafontaine, Patrick Walsh and Soumakis each had one.

Eric Brassard stopped 36 shots in the loss.

The game was tied 0-0 after the first period while the Titans led 3-0 heading to the third.

Acadie-Bathurst improved to 15-20-2-2 while Charlottetown falls to 15-20-1-4.

The Islanders are back in action Friday in Halifax against the Mooseheads at 7 p.m. before coming home to host the Moncton Wildcats at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
