The Charlottetown Islanders have traded their starting goalie, sources tell The Guardian.

The deal would send Antoine Bibeau to the Val-d’Or Foreurs for draft picks. The Islanders would then use picks to acquire goalie Mason McDonald from the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

Bibeau, 19, is a six-foot-two 180-pound goalie from Victoriaville, Que. He is 8-16 with a 3.29 goals-against average this season, his third in Charlottetown.

Last year he won the No. 1 job from Maxime Lagace and posted a 28-14 record with a 2.81 goals-against average while posting five shutouts. The Toronto Maple Leafs selected him in the sixth round of the 2013 NHL Draft.
