The Alberton-based Western Regals split a pair of games in the P.E.I. Midget AAA Hockey League during the weekend.
After dropping a 5-2 road decision to the Kings County Kings on Friday night, the Regals bounced back on home ice to double the Summerside Hemphill GM Capitals 6-3 on Saturday night.
In other league action Saturday afternoon, the Charlottetown Abbies topped the visiting Mid-Isle Matrix 4-1.
The results left the Regals and Abbies in a first-place tie with 3-1-0 records.

At Simmons Sport Centre in Charlottetown, Andrew Wong (2-1), Alex Young (1-1) and Quinton Gorman scored for the Abbies.
Jarrod MacAdam chipped in with three assists.
Drew Grady, assisted by Matt Craig, netted the lone goal for the Matrix (1-2-1).
The Abbies held period advantages of 1-0 and 2-1.
Winning goaltender was Zach Geldert. Sean MacPhee was between the pipes for Mid-Isle.
Regals 6 Capitals 3
At the Jacques Cartier Arena, Curklan Fraser (2-1), TJ Shea (1-3), Jason Gallant, Jake Getson and Jake Arsenault scored for the Regals. Brendan Smith, Calvin McRae and Thomas Fraser assisted.
Jesse MacFarlane (2) and Kolton Stright replied for the Capitals (2-1-1). Single helpers went to Chasse Gallant, Owen Arsenault, Brett Ramsay, Spencer Groom and Cameron Gillis.
The teams were tied 2-2 after the opening period, and the Regals took a 4-3 lead into the second intermission.
Avery Arsenault earned the goaltending win over Koby Bridges.
Jake Arsenault was selected as the Regals’ Regal Cresting player of the game.
Kings 5 Regals 2
At the Eastern Kings Sportsplex in Souris, Mike MacKinnon (2), Keirsten Steele, Nathan Cahill and Robbie Hicken provided goals for the Kings (1-0-2). Mike MacGregor and Colby Mooney each had two helpers.
Curklan Fraser provided both Western goals, with Calvin MacRae chipping in with a pair of assists.
The score was even 1-1 after 20 minutes, and the Kings were in front 3-2 at the end of 40 minutes.
