The P.E.I. Rocket gave up four second period goals en route to a 6-3 loss to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies Saturday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
The Rocket trailed 5-0 heading to the third before scoring three goals in four minutes in the final frame. Two of the goals were scored with the man advantage as the teams combined to tally six power-play markers on the evening.
Jimmy Oligny, Alex Micallef and Ben Duffy scored for the Rocket. Josh Currie and Matej Beran each had two assists while singles went to Victor Provencher and Erik Robichaud.
Mathieu Brisebois and Nikita Kucherov each scored twice for the host Huskies while Maxime St-Cyr and Alexandre Leclerc had singles.
Sven Andrighetto had three assists while Gabriel Desjardins had two and singles went to Liam O’Brien, Kucherov and Justin Guenette.
Maxime Lagace allowed five goals on 17 shots before being replaced by Antoine Bibeau, who gave up one goal on 11 shots.
Alexandre Belanger stopped all 13 shots he faced before being replaced by Philippe Gingras to start the third. He gave up three goals on 18 shots.
P.E.I. falls to 35-23-3-1 while Rouyn-Noranda improves to 35-23-1-3.
It was the Rocket’s last trip to Quebec this season. They play in Saint John, N.B. Wednesday at 7 p.m.
