The P.E.I. Rocket scored five unanswered goals to beat the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 5-2 Friday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Defenceman Alex Micallef scored the game-winning goal 4:43 into the second period as the P.E.I. Rocket improved to 31-21-2. The loss dropped the host Titan to 21-29-5-1.

Matej Beran added a pair of goals in the third period while Jack Nevins and Yan-Pavel Laplante scored in the first period. It was Laplante’s first goal of the season after returning from a shoulder injury earlier this month that has sidelined him since the summer.

Louick Marcotte and Ben Duffy each had two assists while singles went to Troy Vance, Jimmy Oligny, Josh Currie and Laplante.

The Rocket are back on home ice tonight at 7 p.m. when the Saint John Sea Dogs are in town and Sunday they host the Halifax Mooseheads at 4 p.m.

The Rocket has special prices for this weekend’s games.

The team is giving away free youth tickets (ages 12 and under) and $10 adult and senior tickets for both games this weekend. The team will give away 600 youth tickets for today's game and 300 for Sunday's game. Adult and senior tickets will be $10 until the youth tickets are gone.

“It is Winter Fun Weekend and Islander Day is Monday,” Vice-president of operations Trent Birt said. “It is going to be a festive type weekend across P.E.I. so we want to add to the action by giving people the opportunity to take in our games at greatly reduced prices.”
