Women's hockey team travels to Antigonish Sunday for clash with conference-leading X-Women

It’s six and counting for the UPEI Panthers women’s hockey team.

The Panthers beat the St. Thomas Tommies 1-0 Saturday in Atlantic University Sport women’s hockey action. UPEI has won six straight games and eight of its past nine.

Marie Soleil Deschenes recorded the shutout while Courtney Stewart from Olivia

Doughart provided all the offence the team would need.

The victory improves the Panthers to 12-6-1 while the Tommies fall to 13-7-1. UPEI is in third place, two points back of STU with two games in hand.

UPEI travels to Antigonish, N.S. Sunday to play the top-ranked X-Women at 4 p.m.
