Summerside downs Metro 7-1

SUMMERSIDE – It was all Summerside Western Capitals Saturday as the home team sank the Metro Shipbuilders 7-1 in Maritime Hockey League action.

Jonathan Aubertin led the way with two goals and two assists while Patrick Volpe had three assists and Mitchell Maynard a goal and two helpers.

Thomas Stavert, JP Harvey and Zach Beaton each had a goal and an assist while Christopher Caissy scored a goal and Spencer MacDonald had two assists.

Kevin Baillie made 14 saves for the win while Jeff Arkin was peppered with 61 shots.

The shots were 26-2 for Summerside after 20 minutes, but the game was scoreless.

Summerside led 3-1 after 40 minutes and cruised to victory.
