P.E.I. Rocket forward Alexis Pépin will be playing for bronze today at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Drummondville, Que.
Pépin had a goal and an assist in Quebec’s 6-4 semifinal loss Thursday night to Sweden. They will play Russia, which lost 3-2 to the USA in the other semifinal, at 4 p.m. Atlantic in Drummondville.
Pépin has three goals and four assists in five games in the tournament. His seven points are the most on the team.
The final will be played today at 8:30 p.m. Atlantic in Victoriaville, Que.
Atlantic lost 8-2 to Finland Thursday to finish seventh.
Charlottetown native Kameron Kielly, who was Team Atlantic’s captain, scored his third goal of the tournament.
Tanner McCabe (East Royalty) and Michael White (Sherwood) are both defencemen with the team.
