Crunch down Granites in senior hockey tilt

Greg O’Brien was red hot last night in leading the Charlottetown Cover All Construction Crunch to an 8-7 victory over the Kensington Granites in Island Community Senior Hockey League action.

O’Brien scored the team’s first six goals and assisted on Greg McConnell’s first of two on the night for a seven-point game.

Jordan Costello and Garrett Lewis each had three assists while Cory Chaisson and James Cooley added a pair. Picking up singles were Josh MacKinnon and Patrick Smith.

Scoring singles for Kensington were Alex Noonan, Cameron Webster, Mark Paynter, Devan Praught, Colin Webster, Nathan Praught and Jason Smallman.

Brad Gallant and Tyler Murphy added two assists while singles went to Devan Praught, Smallman, Nathan Praught, Nick Tremere, Dustin Jones and Paynter.

Jarred Kelly picked up the win while Nick Creelman took the loss.

Charlottetown improves to 3-5 while Kensington falls to 4-2.
