Capitals double Tigers

Mitchell Maynard and Danny Chiasson each scored a goal and set one up as the Summerside Western Capitals defeated the Campbellton Tigers 4-2 Tuedsay in Maritime Hockey League action.

Colton Parsons and Jonathan Aubertin also scored for the host Capitals. Alex Blais and Francis Bernier replied for Campbellton.

Dylan McQuaid stopped 14 shots for the win in front of 1,398 fans at Credit Union Place while Miguel Sullivan made 36 saves in the loss.

Summerside led 2-0 after the first and the game was tied 2-2 after 40 minutes of play.

The Roger Meek Division-leading Capitals improved to 25-6-2 while the division's last-place Tigers fall to 11-21-1-1.

Summerside hosts Truro (21-4-0-3) Sunday at 2 p.m.
