Ontario beats Atlantic 11-1 at under-17 hockey championship

Atlantic falls to 1-3

P.E.I. Rocket forward Nathan Yetman assisted on Atlantic’s lone goal Tuesday in an 11-1 loss to Ontario at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Victoriaville, Que.

Yetman assisted on Lucas Batt’s goal midway through the second period to cut Ontario’s lead to 2-1. Ontario scored 37 seconds later and added three more before the second was over.

Spencer Watson led Ontario, which outshot Atlantic 60-13, with three goals.

The loss dropped Atlantic to 1-3.

Captain Kameron Kielly, a Charlottetown native, scored twice Monday as Atlantic beat Slovakia 4-1.

Tanner McCabe and Michael White are both defencemen with Team Atlantic.

Rocket forward Alexis Pépin is playing for Quebec, which play Slovakia tonight.
