'Wipeout Canada' to begin filming stunt series in the fall for 2011

The wild TV game show Wipeout is headed to Canada.

Canwest Broadcasting says the stunt series would put daring Canadian contestants on an extreme obstacle course as they compete for cash prizes.

The show is based on the outrageous ABC series, Wipeout, and would be filmed in the fall.

There was no word on who would host, nor was there word on where the obstacle course would be set up.

Canwest said details on how wannabe contestants can apply had not been established.

Wipeout Canada premieres on TVtropolis in 2011.
