P.E.I. counts three deuces in win over Northwest Territories
OTTAWA – P.E.I.’s Adam Casey rink snapped a four-game slide at the 2016 Tim Hortons Brier on Thursday morning.

Casey, third stone David Mathers, second stone Anson Carmody and lead Robbie Doherty took advantage of the hammer to score three deuces in a 7-4 victory over the Northwest Territories’ Jamie Koe. Casey will take a 2-7 (won-lost) record into Thursday afternoon’s draw against Newfoundland and Labrador’s Brad Gushue (8-1), and Koe fell to 1-8.
The Casey rink, which curls out of both the Charlottetown Curling Complex and Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club in Summerside, will conclude the round robin against Manitoba’s Mike McEwen (6-2) on Friday morning.
