Skip Kim Dolan, right, releases a shot as second Sinead Dolan prepares to sweep Sunday during the P.E.I. Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Montague.

Kim Dolan defeated Lisa Jackson 7-5 Sunday night to make the P.E.I. Scotties Tournament of Hearts final.

Dolan's team will play Suzanne Birt's rink Monday at 10 a.m. at the Montague Curling Rink. Both teams are from the Charlottetown Curling Complex.

Birt won two of the qualifiers in the modified triple knockout championship while Dolan defeated Jackson in the C final.

If Birt's team wins the 10 a.m. draw they will be declared champions, while a loss would force a 3 p.m. winner-take-all contest. The winner advances to the national Scotties Tournament of Hearts Feb. 20 to 28 in Grande Prairie, Alta.

Jackson handed Birt their first loss (8-5) Sunday afternoon in the C semifinal.

In the C final, Jackson struck for three in the first but Dolan responded with a single in the second, stole two in the third to tie it and another in the fourth to take a 4-3 lead.

The teams traded singles the next two ends before Jackson tied it with a single in the eighth.

Dolan scored a deuce in the ninth to win it.

Birt and Dolan met in the A and B final with Birt winning 8-5 and 10-4.

Dolan's team includes third Rebecca Jean MacDonald, second Sinead Dolan and lead Michala Robison and alternate Jackie Reid.

Birt's rink is comprised of third Robyn Green, second Meaghan Hughes, lead Marie Christianson and coach Danny Christianson.

Dolan has won nine provincial Scotties, including three as third to teams skipped by MacDonald. Birt has skipped seven teams to the title.
