Dolan rink from Charlottetown Curling Complex plays Yukon on Sunday
British Columbia scored three in an extra end Saturday to defeat Prince Edward Island 7-4 in the opening draw of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Montreal.
The Kim Dolan rink from the Charlottetown Curling Complex scored a deuce in the first end. B.C.’s Kesa Van Osch-skipped rink from Victoria answered with a single in the second while the next three ends were blanked.
Dolan scored one in the sixth to take a 3-1 lead, but B.C. tied it with a deuce in the seventh and took the lead with a single in the next end.
Dolan forced the extra end with a single in the 10th.
Prince Edward Island, which includes third Rebecca Jean MacDonald, second Sinead Dolan, lead Michala Robison, alternate Jackie Reid and coach Nancy Cameron, plays the Yukon Sunday at 10 a.m. ADT.
