The P.E.I. Brewing Company Athletics defeated the Charlottetown Expos 6-4 to take the best-of-three Kings County Baseball League quarter-final series 2-0.
Curtis Macgregor went the distance Thursday in picking up the win while Andrew Arsenault went the distance in suffering the loss.
Andrew Bryenton had two hits to lead the Athletics with Josh Kirpatrick, Jacob Smith and Corey Douguay also chipping in hits to help the attack.
The Expos were led by Chris Hedefine, who was 3-for-4, and Brad Mullen, who chipped in two hits.
