O'Shea tosses two-hitter in shortened KCBL game

The Morell Chevies dropped the Northside Brewers 8-1 in a five-inning game shortened by rain and lightning Wednesday evening in Kings County Baseball League action.

Andrew O'Shea picked up the win, allowing just two hits while walking three and striking out one. Tyson Blue took the loss, allowing 12 hits and striking out a pair.

The Chevies opened the scoring in the first inning on a two-run single by Troy Coffin. They added three more runs in the fourth inning on RBIs by Colin Hansen, Stephen O'Shea and Scott Harper.

The Brewers answered in their half of the fourth when Mitchell Ryan scored on a fielder's choice off the bat of Jed Winters. A Colin Hansen double would plate two more runs in the fifth inning while Stephen O'Shea picked up his second RBI to round out the scoring. Harper, Coffin, Hansen and Desi Doyle all had two hits for the Chevies while Kaelin Fisher had both hits for the Brewers.
