Jason MacLean helped his own cause by hitting a two-run double in the top of the 10th inning as the Northside Gill Construction Inc. Brewers edged the Peakes Bombers 2-0.
MacLean and Bomber pitcher Josh Coffin both pitched the full 10 innings, with MacLean throwing a five-hitter with eight strike outs and Coffin an eight-hitter with eight strike outs.
After nine scoreless innings, Evan Myers reached based with one out on an error and Nigel Fisher hit a double off the fence to set up runners at second and third for MacLean's clutch two-out double.
The Bombers threatened with runners on first and second in the bottom half but MacLean got out of the jam with a fly ball to centre field to end the game.
Fisher finished the game with two hits to lead the Brewers. Colin Myers with two, Tyson MacInnis, Brandon MacInnis and Coffin had the other Bomber hits.
