The P.E.I. Brewing Company Athletics pounded the Peakes Tee Sluggers 20-4 in five innings Wednesday in Kings County Baseball League action.
Dylan Beck was the complete-game winner while Mitch Morrison took the loss with relief from Bruce Jay.
Josh Kirkpatrick was 4-for-4 to lead the Athletics while Adam Smith, Andrew Bryenton and Randy Taylor all chipped in three hits.
Carter MacLellan was 2-for-2 to lead the Sluggers.
In Charlottetown, the Freetown Mets defeated the Charlottetown Jays 1-0 in the opening game of a doubleheader.
The Athletics defeated the Cornwall Mudhens 14-3 in five innings and the Peakes Bombers 7-6 on Tuesday.
Kyle MacDougall went the distance getting the win while Brandon Dowling suffered the loss. Dominique Ryan and Shawn MacDougall each had three hits for the Athletics.
The Mudhens were led by Ryan Stevens and Chris Chandler, who were both 1-for-3.
Kirpatrick went the distance in picking up the win against the Bombers while Josh Coffin went the distance in taking the loss. Allister Smith was 3-for-4 and Marshall Ellis was 2-for-4.
Corey Douguay and Shawn MacDougall each belted home runs to help the Athletics’ attack.
Logan Cobb was 3-for-4 for the Bombers and Matt Bradley who was 2-for-4.
