The Charlottetown Jays demolished the Cornwall Mudhens 21-5 in five innings Tuesday in Kings County Baseball League action in Morell.
The Jays were lead by veteran lefty Chad MacKay on the hill, giving up five hits and striking out six for the win.
The Jays went through the entire order in back-to-back innings to provide plenty of offence for MacKay.
Josh McKinnon led the Jays, going 5-for-6 and was a home run shy of the cycle. Summerside native Jeremy Martin led off the second inning with a three-run shot to start the offence.
Tyler Johnston suffered the loss for the Mudhens while Zach Marsh came in in relief and went 3-for-3 at the plate.
The Jays play tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Memorial Field against the first-place Morell Chevies.
