The P.E.I. Brewing Company Athletics defeated the Northside Brewers 11-3 Sunday in Kings County Baseball League action.
Kyle MacDougall got the win while Corey Douguay pitched the last two innings for the save. Mitch Ryan suffered the loss with relief from Tyson Blue.
Marshall Ellis and Allister Smith each had two hits to lead the Athletics at the plate while the Brewers were led by D.J. Dunn and Nigel Fisher, who each had two hits.
In Peakes, the Peakes Bombers downed the Peakes Sluggers 8-6.
Charlie Jay was the winning pitcher while Mitchell Morrison took the loss.
Rob Phelan and Pat MacDonald were 2-for-4 for the Bombers, while Brandon MacInnis was 1-for-2. Sam Walsh led the Sluggers with a 3-for-4 performance while Mitchell Power went 2-for-3.
The Bombers recently defeated the Northside Brewers 14-4.
Phelan earned the win while Dustin Larkin took the loss.
Trevor McAree and Colin Myers were each 3-for-4 to lead the Bombers. Mitchell Ryan, Peter MacLeod and Jed Winters each had a solo home run for the Brewers.
