Nicholson keys Sluggers’ victory

The Peakes Tee Sluggers  pounded the Charlottetown Jays 9-1 Wednesday in Kings County Baseball League action.  

Sam Walsh pitched the win while Jeremy Martin took the loss.  

Seth Nicholson broke open a 2-1 game in top of the fourth inning with a two-run double. The Sluggers got five in the inning and Walsh shut down the Jays’ hitters after that.  Mitchell Power went 2-for-4 and Nick Ryan 2-for-5 for the Sluggers while Brodie Hughes went 2-for-4 for the Jays.

Livingston leads Mudhens to victory

Corey Livingston hit a grand slam in the sixth inning Tuesday to propel the Cornwall Mudhens to a 5-4 victory over the Charlottetown Expos in Morell in Kings County Baseball League action. Matthew Sanderson recorded the complete game victory while Brad Mullen went the distance in taking the loss. Mike MacMillan went 2-for-4 with a home run for the Expos.
