The Peakes Bombers scored six unanswered runs to defeat the Cornwall Mudhens 6-1 Wednesday in Kings County Baseball League action.
The Mudhens held a 1-0 lead going into the fourth when the Bombers scored two in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.
Charlie Jay pitched a complete game two-hitter while Matt Sanderson allowed nine hits in the loss.
Colin Myers, Matt Bradley and Joe Gardiner all had two hits and Brandon McInnis had a two-run homerun.
Ben Gould and Andrew Inglis had the Mudhens hits.
Chevies 10, Brewers 0
At Morell, Quen Johnston tossed a one-hitter and the Morell Chevies dropped the Northside Brewers 10-0 in a five-inning contest Wednesday evening.
Scott Ellsworth kicked off the Chevies’ offence, hitting a lead off home run, his first of two on the night.
He would finish with three hits and three RBIs.
Andrew O’Shea and Brad Larter also collected three hits each while Jason Doyle and Scott Harper added a pair.
Jarrod Laybolt slugged a two-run homer in the third inning off losing pitcher Tyson Blue.
Mitch Ryan had the lone Brewers hit, a single in the second inning.
Sluggers 9, Athletics 4
Sam Walsh allowed two earned runs and three hits in his first career start in the KCBL to lead the Peakes Tee Sluggers to a 9-4 win Wednesday over the P.E.I. Brewing Company Athletics.
Walsh also hit 2-for-3 while Nick Ryan was 1-for-2.
The Athletics were led by Marshal Ellis (2-4) and Josh Kirkpatrick (1-2).
Kyle MacDougall took the loss with relief from Dylan Beck.
