The Northside Brewers scored seven runs in the first and seven more in the third en route to 15-0 hammering of the East Royalty Expos Sunday in Kings County Baseball League action.
The game on opening day of the season was called after five Innings.
Jason Maclean pitched a complete game two-hitter to earn the win. Dustin Larkin was 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBI, Ethan Laybolt went 2-for-2 with two RBI and Peter MacLeod 1-for-2 with a two-run homerun for the Brewers.
Robbie Macleod and Andrew Arsenault had the Expos hits. Brad Mullen suffered the loss with relief from Ryan MacLeod.
Sluggers 9, Mets 7
The Peakes Tee Sluggers started the season with a 9-7 comeback win over the Freetown Mets.
Will Jadis hit a three-run homerun in the bottom of the seventh for the host Sluggers.
Peakes were lead by newcomer Denver Morrison, who went 2-for-4. Ryan Murphy led the Mets, who are new to the circuit this season, by going 2-for-3 while Kyle Doucette also chipped in with a homerun.
Matt Myers got the win while Spencer Montgomery took the loss.
