Athletics score six in fourth to defeat Peakes Bombers and force Game 6 in KCBL final
The Stratford 3 Points and Aerospace Athletics pounded the Peakes Bombers 12-2 in six innings Thursday in the Kings County Baseball League final.
The Bombers lead the best-of-seven series 3-2. Game 6 details have not been finalized.
Thursday at Memorial Field in Charlottetown, Josh Kirpatrick threw a three-hitter in going the distance on the hill for Stratford while Rob Phelan was tagged with the loss with relief from Charlie Jay.
The Athletics scored six times in a batted-around fourth inning.
Jacob Smith, Andrew MacNevin, Shawn MacDougall and Randy Taylor all had two hits to lead the Athletics while Brandon MacInnis, Jay and Matt Bradley had the Bombers’ hits.
