Ellsworth helps lead Canada to victories

St. Lawrence's Jeff Ellsworth had a home run and a double Monday as Canada improved to 3-0 with a 5-0 win over the Bahamas at the Pan American championships in Colobia.

Ellsworth drove in two runs in the contest.

Canada won its opening game 8-6 against a gritty Guatemalan team and before blowing out Puerto Rico 10-1. Ellsworth had a double and a single, drove in one run and scored two against Guatemala.

    Nice to finally see a little coverage of Jeff Ellsworth's softball accomplishments. As Captain of Team Canada it would be nice to see more reports on Jeff's fastpitch career. I hope you will be covering Jeff and Team Canada when they travel to the World Fastpitch Championships in New Zealand in March, 2013
