Jamie Whynacht will be the head coach of Prince Edward Island’s triathlon team at the 2017 Canada Games in Winnipeg.
He has coached swimmers at World Cup and Olympic level as well as three Canada Games, triathletes to world age group championship medals and has been named coach of the year six times in four different provinces.
He has more than 20 years of coaching experience and had national coaching certification program training and certifications in swimming, athletics and triathlon.
Whynacht will be holding an information meeting for all athletes interested in hearing more about the Canada Games preparation program on March 29 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the CARI Complex’s multipurpose room beside the pool.
To compete at the Canada Games, athletes must be between the ages of 16 and 19 years old as of Dec. 31, 2017. Parents are welcome to attend the session.
