The Moncton Miracles outscored the Island Storm 28-14 in the first quarter Sunday en route to a 106-96 win in National Basketball League of Canada play in Moncton.

Dexter Strickland had 24 points to lead Moncton while James Justice added 21.

Brent Jennings had a game-high 25 points to pace the Storm while Rashad Whack added 23.

Tirrell Baines had 16 while Brian Addison and Morgan Lewis each added 10.

The Miracles led 43-30 at the half and 64-45 after three quarters.

Moncton improved to 12-13 while the Storm is 9-15 and in last place in the Atlantic Division.

The Storm travels to Saint John, N.B., to play the Mill Rats on March 13.
