Two UPEI Panthers made the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) men’s basketball first all-star team while a freshman made the all-rookie squad.
Fourth-year players Tyler Scott and Bradley States made the all-star team while Amin Suleman made the all-rookie squad along with Charlottetown native Jack MacAulay, who is playing at Cape Breton University.
The award winners were announced Thursday night in Halifax.
Scott, a guard from Clayton Park, N.S., was second in the conference in scoring at 25.1 points per game while hauling down 7.6 rebounds and passing out 3.4 assists per contest.
States, a forward from Bathurst, N.B., averaged 19 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
Suleman, a point guard from Toronto, averaged 6.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game and joined the starting lineup late in the season.
MacAulay, a Charlottetown Rural graduate, contributed eight points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game for the Capers.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Meshack Lufile, Cape Breton
