It was a big week for UPEI men's hockey Panther Marcus Power.
He was selected as the Atlantic University Sport male of the week and one of two top UPEI athletes.
Power, a second-year bachelor of business administration student from St. John's, N.L., was an impact player for the men's hockey team last week during the AUS quarter-final series against Acadia.
In UPEI's 6-3 and 4-3 wins over the Axemen, Power tallied five points, including the overtime winner to end the series.
Also selected as one of UPEI's top athletes this past week is Katie Donahoe of the women's basketball team.
Donahoe, a fifth-year guard and kinesiology student from Riverview, N.B., scored 21 points on 54 per cent shooting, including four three-pointers in the Panthers' 68-67 win over the Dalhousie Tigers on Saturday.
She was also three-for-three from the foul line, grabbed eight rebounds, made four steals and handed out eight assists.
Donahoe is currently first in the AUS in minutes played per game, first in assists, second in assist-to-turnover ratio, third in steals and third in three-point field goal percentage.
