UPEI Panthers

Bradley States had 29 points Sunday to propel the UPEI Panthers to a 97-80 victory over the Cape Breton Capers in Atlantic University Sport men’s basketball action.

Lorenzo Parker added 18 off the bench while Milorad Sedlarevic and Tyler Scott chipped in 15 and 13 points, respectively.

Kenny Jean-Louis had 20 points to pace the Capers while Charlottetown’s Jack MacAulay had 12.

The Panthers held quarter leads of 22-14, 43-34 and 71-55.

UPEI improved to 10-4 while Cape Breton is 7-6.


The Panthers women’s team was outscored 15-4 in the first quarter in losing 63-50.

The Capers led 32-15 at halftime and 48-40 going to the third.

Jane McLaughlin had 19 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Panthers while Tamara Tompkins scored 13.

Alison Keough had 21 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Capers.

Cape Breton improved to 9-4 while UPEI is 3-11.
