The Holland College Hurricanes won a pair of weekend games in Halifax in Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association women’s volleyball action.
They defeated the University of King’s College Blue Devils 3-1 (25-17, 25-27, 25-12, 25-14) on Saturday and 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-16) on Sunday.
Laura Ready and Sydney Foy each had eight kills in Saturday’s game while Foy also had six aces. Ready and Emily Caldwell recorded 11 digs in the match while Gracie Ferguson had 10.
Foy led the Hurricanes Sunday with eight kills, Emily Caldwell had three service aces and Dana Trainor recorded 13 digs.
The wins move the ‘Canes to 10-2 on the season and trail only the Mount Saint Vincent Mystics (11-1).
The Hurricanes continue their five-game road trip when they visit the Dalhousie AC Rams on Saturday and UNBSJ Seawolves on Sunday.
