Alison Squires and Trevone Grant are this week's Holland College Hurricanes athletes of the week.

Squires, a first-year practical nursing student from Charlottetown, scored four goals on Sunday and added an assist in the Hurricanes 8-4 victory over the Acadia Axewomen in Eastern Canadian Women's Hockey League regular season play.

The left-winger moved into a tie for the league lead with seven points in four games. The Hurricanes are 4-0 and lead the league standings.

Grant, a third-year guard from Nassau, Bahamas, continued to have a strong first semester by leading his team past the St. Thomas Tommies Sunday in Fredericton, N.B.

The business administration student had 18 points, four rebounds and six steals in the ‘Canes 95-64 victory. The Hurricanes improved to 7-0, lead the Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association standings and are second in the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association rankings.
