Attack goes 2-1, sits atop ringette league

The Atlantic Attack went 2-1 during weekend play against the Richmond Hill Lightning to remain in first place in the National Ringette League's Eastern Conference.

Islanders Kendra O'Brien and Ashley Hollis are both defencemen with the team.

The Attack went to a league-best 15-3 after splitting with Richmond Hill (4-3 win, 10-5, loss) on Saturday in Shediac, N.B., then beating the Lightning 9-2 on Sunday in Cap-Pele, N.B.

Hollis, a rookie from Stratford, has three assists in 18 games this season, while O'Brien, a Souris native, has two assists 18 games into her fifth season in the league.

The Attack returns to action Saturday, Jan. 16, versus the Rive Sud Revolution (1-12-0-1) in Saint-Hubert, Que.
