Sport P.E.I. will be hosting a conflict resolution workshop as part of the Women in Leadership series Friday, May 22 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Royalty Centre in Charlottetown.

The facilitator will be Stephanie Knickle Currie.

The series has been developed by the Canadian Association of the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity (CAAWS), and is one of five professional workshops that blend theory with practical applications.

The conflict resolution session will focus on resolving conflict in both personal and professional settings, and will provide an opportunity for women either working or volunteering in sport to share their experiences, reflect on ideas, develop skills and build their network.

The workshop will look at causes of conflict and the costs of leaving conflict unresolved, examine styles of dealing with conflict, and review tips for effective conflict management.

Two other sessions in the series will be held later this year and early 2016.

Registration is free but delegates must register with Lynn Boudreau at 902-368-6253 no later than Tuesday, May 19. Refreshments and light snacks will be provided.
