Brody McDonald, first baseman with the Charlottetown Gaudet's Auto Body Islanders reaches for an easy out against Jolin Benoit who bunted for the Hub City Brewers visiting from Moncton. The Islanders won the New Brunswick Senior Baseball League playoff game 1-0 at Memorial Field in Charlottetown Friday.

Jordan Stevenson four-hit the Hub City Brewers and made Alex Abbott's first inning RBI stand in a 1-0 Game 1 playoff victory on Friday in Charlottetown.
The Charlottetown Gaudet's Auto body Islanders lead the New Brunswick Senior Baseball League quarter-final series 1-0.
Game 2 in the best-of-five matchup goes Saturday in Moncton. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
Stevenson's complete game included four strikeouts, his fourth in the top of the seventh innning ended the game, and one walk.
Abbott's single brought home catcher Morgan MacLean for the game's lone run.
Hub City's Glenn Marks had an equally stellar outing, striking out five Isles batters and surrendering five hits.
Mark Deveaux, Jody Cole, Shane Sexton and Tim Webber had the Brewers hit while Jordan Duffy, Sean Corcoran, Abbott, Maclean and Taylor Larkin had the Isles hits.
Game 3 is Monday, Sept. 1, at Memorial Field. Game time is 7 p.m.
