Zachary Laustsen is the medal hunt tonight in St. John’s, N.L., at the Atlantic University Sport swim championships.

The second-year Panther from Lower Sackville, N.S., is ranked seventh after Friday morning’s preliminary races in the 100m fly. The final start at 6 p.m. Atlantic and are streamed live at

The following swimmers have made tonight’s consolation finals:

Rooske Wagemakers, 200m free; Leif Wilm, 200m free; Emma MacKay, 50m back; Suzanne Nicholson, 100m fly; Joel Legault, 100m fly; and Zachary Martin, 100m fly.

UPEI will have two teams in tonight’s relays.

The women’s 4x100m free team of Rebekah Nitchsman, Katie VanLeeuwen, Wagemakers and Mackay and the men’s 4x100m free squad of Joel Legault, Joseph Sulaiman, Martin and Laustsen.
