Curl P.E.I. is getting ready for the 2015 Canada Winter Games.
Trials will take place from Jan. 30 to Feb. 2 at the Charlottetown Curling Complex to determine two men’s and two women’s teams to be named the Curl P.E.I. 2015 training teams.
P.E.I.’s Canada Games curling teams (one men’s and one women’s) will be named after a best-of-three series held between the training teams in November.
Entry deadline for the trials is today and all entries must be made online at www.PEICurling.com.
Curlers shall be a maximum of 17 years old on Dec. 31, 2014.
The coaches of the teams associated with the training teams must be NCCP competition introduction certified, in order to continue on the training process with the team. Each coach will have to complete the CCA Canada winter games professional development module prior to the final competition.
The 2015 Canada Winter Games are being held in Prince George, B.C., Feb. 13 to March 1. The men’s curling event will take place during Week 1 and the women’s event in Week 2.
