Seth Hood drove in four runs Thursday as the Charlottetown Gahan House Fawcetts got back to their winning ways at the Canadian senior men’s fastpitch championship in Stratford, Ont.
The Fawcetts downed the Kitchener Outlaws 10-3 in six innings to improve to 3-2 at the nine-team tournament.
Hood, who was the team’s designated hitter, had a three-run home run as part of Charlottetown’s seven-run third inning that began with a Jamie MacDonald single with two outs.
Right-fielder Peter Mersereau had two doubles with two runs scored and an RBI while first baseman Mark Arsenault was 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Jamie Shields, Chris Craig, Dustan Jones and Mike Craig also had hits.
Mitch Hardy gave up three runs on seven hits while walking one and striking out 10.
Danny Martin took the loss. Kitchener made six errors.
The Fawcetts and the Kitchener Cubs began at 6 p.m. Atlantic.
