Adrian Tomlinson hails from Ontario

Adrian Tomlinson is coming to Holland College to continue his basketball career.

The Scarborough, Ont., native was a member of the St. Lawrence College basketball team in 2011-12 in Kingston, Ont., and is a graduate of the West Hill High School.

"He's a talented and exciting player, who pushes the pace and will fit in well with our team," said coach Josh Whitty.

"He's also very focused and committed after spending a couple of years out of school and away from the game."

The five-foot-10 guard said knowing Whitty for the past number of years made him want to come to Holland College.

"Hurricanes athletics is still a young program, that's made a mark in the CCAA (Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association)," he said. "I hope to be a part of the continued success and help add to what's already been accomplished," said Tomlinson.

Tomlinson played in the 2009 Jordan All Canada all-star game, was the rookie of the year and a first-team all-star in 2009-10 in the Ontario Collegiate Athletic Association.

The Hurricanes begin playing pre-season games on Oct. 5 with its first regular season game taking place on Nov. 2 when they visit the Dalhousie University Agricultural College.
